Information we collect
Account and membership data. If you create an account or purchase a membership, we collect information such as your name, email address, password, and membership status. Account and membership data are stored in WordPress and processed with Paid Memberships Pro (PMPro).
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles card details under its own privacy policy and security practices. You may be redirected to Stripe Checkout to complete a purchase.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address and send them to Mailchimp so we can deliver the mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
Technical and usage data. Like most websites, we automatically receive non-identifying or limited technical information such as browser type, language, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and the date/time of requests. Traffic to the Site is served and protected via Cloudflare, which may process IP addresses and related request data for security, performance, and analytics (including Cloudflare Web Analytics where enabled).
Communications. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Site and membership features (including art downloads for members);
- Process payments and manage subscriptions or lifetime memberships;
- Send transactional messages (receipts, account notices) and, if you opted in, newsletter updates;
- Protect the Site against abuse, fraud, and security threats;
- Understand aggregate usage trends so we can improve the product.
Service providers and sharing
We share personal information only with vendors that help us operate the Site, including:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Mailchimp — newsletter delivery;
- Cloudflare — CDN, security, and traffic analytics;
- Our hosting provider and contractors who need access to operate or support the Site, under confidentiality obligations.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Boma Development LLC, our users, or the public.
We do not use Disqus, third-party display advertising networks, or similar ad trackers on this Site. We do not rent or sell your personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the Site—for example, to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and support membership/session features. Cloudflare and our analytics tools may also set cookies or use similar technologies for security and performance. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies; some Site features may not work correctly if you do.
Data retention
We keep account, membership, and transaction-related records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or we delete the list record. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and operations.
International transfers
Our service providers (including Stripe, Mailchimp, and Cloudflare) may process data in countries other than your own. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
Your choices
- Update or delete account information by signing in or contacting us;
- Unsubscribe from marketing/newsletter emails via the link in those emails;
- Request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us (subject to legal exceptions, such as records we must keep for transactions).
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Business transfers
If Boma Development LLC or substantially all of its assets are acquired, or if we enter bankruptcy or a similar proceeding, user information may be among the assets transferred. Any acquirer may continue to use your information as described in this policy (or a successor policy).
Changes to this policy
